The Caribbean is a beautiful archipelago of more than 700 islands, cays and reefs located off the coast of North America. Most of these islands are colonised by either Spain or Portugal and are popular tourist destinations for their beaches, resorts and diving.
But the region also has a number of rugged volcanic shorelines, beautiful mountain sceneries, lush plantings and wildlife viewing. The region’s culture is anything but similar to that of the rest of the continent.
